Diversity in the Deaf Community

This panel workshop is designed to explore and better understand the diverse experiences and needs of the Deaf community. A panel of deaf individuals from various diverse backgrounds will share their life experiences. The panel will also address the implications of power and privilege on these deaf members, interpreters and community stakeholders. Panel members include Hugh Woodson, Kamden Romano, Elke Weinbrenner, Demir Bekiri, Monica Kumar, Haydee Garcia, Shabana Khan, Sandy Tiania  and will be moderated by Michelle Mendiola.

This workshop will be presented in American Sign Language.
Requests for interpretation services must be made in writing by emailing pdc@irid.org by March 15th, 2019.
