CALL FOR SMALL GROUP FACILITATORS
Hello, I’m Anna Witter-Merithew, and on behalf of RID HQ and the Board of Directors, I’d like to extend a personal invitation for small group facilitators.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Consumer Advocacy Network (DHHCAN) has sent a formal coalition letter to both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump campaign teams, proposing an introductory meeting with the representatives of both presidential campaigns to discuss initiatives in public policy and leadership. This is a joint effort of a national coalition of 17 consumer and professional organizations in the deaf and hard of hearing community. The seventeen organizations are the following:
Greetings! Fall is officially here, the temps are getting cooler, school is back in session, and the busy holiday season approaches. It is a great time of the year.
Today’s issue of RID’s IWD campaign showcases the World Association of Sign Language Interpreters (WASLI), established July 23, 2003 during the 14th World Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf in Montreal Canada.
The aim of WASLI is to advance the profession of sign language interpreting worldwide.
We have included a variety of materials that that showcase the life and achievements of this great man.
